Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle and the wife of Dr. David Oyedepo. The visionary founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, commonly referred to as Winners’ Chapel.  Her life embodies the essence of a thriving marriage and an unwavering dedication to spreading the gospel of Christ.  Affectionately addressed as Mama Faith, she is a preacher, an author and an esteemed role model within the Christian community.

Early Years

While information about her pre-marriage life is limited, it is documented that she was born on February 5, 1958, as Miss Florence Abiola Akano in Kwara State, Nigeria. She was the sixth child among eight siblings. Her educational journey encompassed primary and secondary studies in Kwara before she entered the University of Ife, where fate intertwined her path with David’s. Their first encounter took place at a bus park while David was studying at Kwara Polytechnic. Their mutual affinity grew over six years, leading to their eventual decision to formalize their bond.
In 1982, Miss Florence Abiola Akano wedded Bishop David Oyedepo, becoming Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo.  At the youthful age of 24, she devoted herself to the ministry and exemplified humility within her marriage. Over the span of four decades, the couple has been blessed with four children. Inspired by their parents’ legacy, their children actively oversee branches of the church, notably Living Faith Worldwide in London.

Mama Faith Oyedepo’s deep Christian faith led her to embrace Christ during her teenage years in 1972. Pastor Faith has emerged as an authority in family life, marriage, youth development, and women’s empowerment. Her prolific writings on these topics, including titles such as “Raising Godly Children,” “Success in Marriage,” “The Healing Scriptures,” “Understanding Motherhood,” and “Covenant Marriage,” encapsulate her wisdom and insights drawn from scripture. Through her literary contributions, she imparts invaluable guidance firmly rooted in divine authority.

Humanitarian Work

In 2007, Pastor Faith Oyedepo founded the Faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation, a nonprofit organization mirroring her husband’s David Oyedepo Foundation. Her foundation embodies the mission of Jesus Christ by making positive impacts on the lives of the less privileged. Through this platform, Mama Faith has touched countless lives—providing educational materials to students, medical assistance to the sick, and life-saving supplies to the underprivileged. But her actions not only underscore her dedication to Christ’s gospel but also exemplify visionary leadership and a commitment to living out the Word.
